Hey, hey! How’s it going? Since this post has no pictures, how about a dog picture to get you started. The hubby told me our two dogs got themselves in some trouble this week. Guess what they did?
Busted
Doesn’t Whiskey look sooo guilty???? <smh>
Anyway, I had a pretty full day and by full I mean I’m sporting a food baby. I worked for it though, that’s for sure
Today started out with Abs and hips.
- 3 x 20 sit ups
- 2 x 15 reverse crunches
- 2 x 30 sec plank
- 2 x 30 sec side planks (each side)
- 2 x 16 supermans (alternating)
- 2 x 15 clamshells
- 2 x 10 leg raises
After that I went for a hill run with my boss. We took a new route and holy cows I found the perfect hill for practicing down hill running. There were some pretty steep up hills too though. We did 2.5 mi total and the highlight would have been the end of the run. We hit the last quarter of a mile and it was SUPER steep. I passed a marine walking to work right at the beginning of the incline and when my legs were burning I wouldn’t stop. I suddenly had the mantra “I’m not a wimpy chick, I’m not a wimpy chick.” I didn’t want to stop and walk in front of him. So I made it up the hill and gave my boss a high five before I keeled over. What a great run right???
I’m really glad I got my work out in since, I was accompanying Chris to his birthday dinner at the chow hall today. The birthday dinners are great actually. We have our choice of lobster, steak or chicken, along with all of the fixings. Then it’s all washed down with delicious cake and ice cream. Did I mention they serve us wine too??? I didn’t want to eat too too much at the dinner so I had a small protein/glutamine shake prior. It sure didn’t stop me from indulging in the ice cream and cake though
Ugh, so. full.
My favorite quote today came from Runners World again.
“A life without ice cream is a life full of chaos and darkness”
Couldn’t agree more! ![]()
I’m off to go get a nap before work. Hopefully the food baby will go away soon.
Hope you all have a great day!!!
The workout sounds super satisfying! And your dogs are too cute, even if they were naughty.*
The hubby and I agreed that it was really hard to be mad at the dogs with those looks on their faces. Whiskey had me rolling when I saw the picture
I think that quote applies to everything with chocolate and/or sugar
Is it bad that seeing what your dogs did makes me laugh?
And ugh that reminds me I need to stop slacking off on the ab work, it’s my least favourite part to work out.
That quote applies to all thing dessert for sure!
They are the comic relief in our life. I loved how guilty Whiskey looked. Oh and I agree, Abs are horrible. I have the weakest core ever and I’m trying to remedy that. I can especially feel it in my lower back and hips after running.
I love that you laughed at their silly faces
